We say counter culture is all these things that run against the currents of mass media and pop culture but look at all the areas we fail to think about and how bizzare those things really are.

Pageantry:

There is an obessive "beauty" that causes my nervous system to go crazy at the amount of detail and thoughtfulness one would have to go through in order to achieve this level of doll-like perfection. This is as real as it gets and a multi-million dollar industry.

Money, fame, beauty. Who could ask for anything more?
